MIG Welder

Location: Nottingham
Pay: Upto £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
Shift: Days, Nights or AM/PM Rotating Shifts Available

Major Recruitment is currently looking for experienced MIG Welders to join a well-established manufacturing and fabrication company based in Nottingham.

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid MIG welding experience who is looking for a long-term role, with the added opportunity to develop their TIG welding skills through training and overtime opportunities.

The Role

You will be working as part of a busy fabrication team, producing high-quality components primarily from mild steel and stainless steel.

The role will involve:

• MIG welding mild steel and stainless steel, predominantly 5–10mm materials

• Reading and working accurately from technical drawings

• Dressing and finishing your own welds

• Drilling, tapping and carrying out other fabrication duties when required

• Maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy

• Working as part of a team to meet production requirements

• Developing your skills across different welding processes

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in MIG welding

• Experience working with mild steel and/or stainless steel

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

• Able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Reliable and willing to learn and develop new skills

• TIG experience would be advantageous but is not essential

• Aluminium welding experience would also be beneficial

• A weld test will be required as part of the recruitment process

Shifts Available

A variety of shift patterns are available, including:

• Day shifts

• Night shifts

• AM/PM rotating shifts

Pay & Benefits

• Upto £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
• £2.62 per hour night shift and £1 for rotational allowance for the first 40 hours
• Overtime paid at 1.5x the hourly rate after 40 hours
• Paid 10-minute and 30-minute breaks
